PHOTOGRAPHY

Proofs are printed and
available for viewing
shortly
after your class. We are committed to providing you with the best
personal service - and we feel that personal service
is much more difficult when we go home and post proofs to a
website.
Professional photography is not "WYSIWYG"*. Proofs are
untouched. Your photograph
will be cropped and corrected for brightness or color. When time allows, our booth
coordinator will
be happy to use our state of the art laptop to illustrate some of the
possibilities that exist in your proof.
For
both financial and
time
management reasons, we do not bring our studio equipment to
shows. Therefore, in order to provide you with the quality product
that you and your equine partner deserve, orders are not filled at the
show. Each order is carefully attended to in our studio,
cropping done and minor adjustments made, if needed, before being
entrusted to our
professional
lab, where your photograph is printed on lovely lustre
stock. Your order is then shipped to you, almost always within 14
business days. Additional 'artistry' is available and can be
discussed individually.
Your extra-special
photographs can also be "textured" to give a linen or pebble feel - or
printed on metallic stock - or Hahnemuhle watercolor paper - or
presented as gallery-wrapped
canvas. We display examples of many (along with their
proofs) at shows and we will be
delighted to discuss these options with you.
Sorry, we can't improve
conformation or way of going - yours or your horse's.
Below are a few examples
from our
gallery. Please visit our galleries, which are divided into equine
and nature pages.
All our work is protected
under US Federal Copyright
Law.
When you purchase a photograph, you are purchasing the right to enjoy
that one photograph in a limited, personal setting. Making copies
- in
any form - or using the photograph for commercial purposes is a
violation of the purchase agreement and US Copyright Law. This
includes (but isn't limited to): taking it to WalMart and making
a
copy; scanning it and putting it on your website or e-mailing it to
your friends; or using it as part
of a promotional campaign in print or online media.
Permission for any or all of
these additional usages must be obtained in writing from As
You Like It Productions
and commercial usage may incur additional charges. Think of it
this way: you want to hire one of our photographs to work for you
(advertising your
stallion/property/training or boarding service) - so you contract with
it for specific work (a full page ad in ABC Journal or the focal
point of My Farm website's home page) for a specific amount of time (one
year).
