PRIVATE SESSION PHOTOGRAPHY
& VIDEOGRAPHY:
As
You Like It Productions is
available for a variety of private sessions, including senior (and
other) portraits, stallion shoots, facility promotions - and "Barn
Parties". Our experience in showing various breeds and
disciplines, as well as 15 years in the equine video business, give us
a
broad-based knowledge with which to provide YOU, our
customer, with
the photographs that you will cherish forever.
PORTRAIT SESSION:
Don't let the concept of a PORTRAIT SESSION get you all uptight!
We specialize in comfortable, fun sessions - with your 'best friend'
(and family, if you want), in a pretty location on your property or
someplace else you choose. We want the portrait we create to give
you warm fuzzies when you show it to your grandkids - whether that's
next month or 50 years from now!
When
you contact As
You Like It Productions to schedule a portrait session, we will take about 30
minutes (at a mutually convenient time) for a pre-portrait
consultation. We will also send you a portrait session kit.
This preparation allows you to feel confident and
relaxed during your session.
Our job is to prepare you thoroughly so that
you will be relaxed and enjoy your photo session. We've owned and
shown horses; we know what happens to those best laid plans. We
schedule enough time so that there's time to allow for the
unforeseen! And we encourage you to have an assistant who is able
to help with the final prep moments or to run for a forgotten object or
to hold the horse while you're changing your outfit.
And we reschedule in the event of inclement weather.
From your photography session,
you
will be provided with proofs from which to select the images that best
suit your purpose. Your selections will be cropped and
minor corrections (such as color or angle) made before being printed by
our professional lab. Additional "artistry" can be added (at
additional cost, of course). And your prints are adhered to a
professional mounting board, to add substance for framing. We are
also able to mat and frame your print as a
fine art piece, if you desire.
Cost of our
lifestyle portrait sessions varies
depending on time, number of horses and humans, and
variation desired (tack & clothing changes as well as
variety
among traditional portrait, action and candid shots).
For all sessions, there is a booking fee which reserves your shoot date
& time; provides you
with a password protected online gallery from which to select prints; a
mini-brag-book; at least one 8x10 print; and includes travel
within 50 miles of Chatham, NY. This fee is
paid upon booking and is fully applied to your session cost and covers
the above. Additional horses and/or time and/or travel,
additional
prints ordered, as
well as any other items, such as low resolution CDs, 'coffee table'
books, gift boxes, and/or notecards, add to this
base fee.
Our contract includes a model release which allows
us to use images from your shoot for marketing and editorial
purposes. These
will only be used in positive situations; I have yet to forgive the
Chronicle of the Horse for using a photo of Jackie Kennedy upside down
over a fence! That just wasn't nice. The release does not
include commercial usage, such as selling an image for a
magazine/catalog cover. If such a request arises, it is handled
as a separate agreement.

No form
of alteration, manipulation or reproduction, including copying
or saving, of digital image files is permitted.
Any unauthorized use of these images will be prosecuted to the full
extent of federal copyright laws.
